FREDERICTON (GNB) The provincial government has launched a new
toll-free information line for New Brunswick veterans who are seeking
information related to programs and services.

Calls to 1-844-462-8387 will be answered by trained bilingual agents who will offer a brief overview, eligibility requirements and information on how to access provincial government programs and services.

Since many of the services accessed by veterans are delivered by the province – such as health care, long-term care, and housing – the establishment of this toll-free line will provide a direct verbal link to government for veterans who are seeking information.

Calls will be toll-free in North America.

The number will be listed in the blue pages of all New Brunswick phone directories as well as with 411.

New Brunswick Call Agents will also be able to link callers directly to Veterans Affairs Canada.

The service will be provided by the same agents who are responsible for the Seniors Information Line, which can be reached at 1-855-550-0552.

The new application for Veteran’s License Plates is now under the Branch Forms tab. RCMP and Reservists are now entitled to the plates providing they meet all the requirements. Plates for motorcycles will be available in the fall. A French application will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

  1. Review the definitions of “eligible family members”;
  2. Locate the required identifying documents for each applicant (and scan or copy these in advance for submission);
  3. Have a valid email address (necessary for CFOne online validation);
  4. Can’t scan? No email address? Having trouble filling in the form online? Or prefer to register by mail?
Online registration process requires the submission of identifying documents in electronic format [e.g. pdf, MS Office or Word, or image (JPEG, GIF)] files. If this is not possible, download & complete pdf registration form, attach photocopies of identifying documents and register by mail.
