Dieppe Military Veterans' Association

Welcome to our site

We are a local organization of Veterans, who was conceived in 1979 and incorporated in 1983, with a constitution and by-laws with 200 members. Our local association is mainly composed of veterans, who are representing men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces, Federal, Provincial and Municipal police services, and civilians who have served Canada at during the worlds’ wars, conflicts and international missions protecting and defending our Canada.

Our main mandate is to ensure that, we are present and involved in the well being of our Veterans from Dieppe and the surrounding areas, by keeping them informed of changes to benefits that are available to veterans and offering a farewell ceremony for the families of our deceased veterans. We pay respect to our fallen comrades and to our veterans and Canadians, more specifically, through ceremonies: the Dieppe Raid, the Battle of Britain, and Remembrance Day. We also participate with the local Legion for the Battle of the Atlantic, Peacekeepers Day and D-Day. We hold monthly meetings to update our veterans and to socialize with our comrades, including a Regimental Dinner and a Christmas dinner for our veterans and guests.

With the support of the City of Dieppe, banners are presently installed at Parc Laurie J Cormier of 12 to honor our deceased veterans. We also support the local Cadet Corps 3006 from in Dieppe. Our cenotaph is located in Dieppe, NB, and was built in 1981 where our association is commemorating Remembrance Day since the beginning.
